tonight…has moved me to change…to take another step…another leap of faith. as i sat in youth group tonight…my heart was heavy. i had alot of emotional baggage on my mind. tonight was on temptation. i want to share tonight with you…it had this moving effect on me…and it just wouldn’t seem right for me not to share with you

THE REALITY

Everyone is tempted.
“Remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
God does not tempt you.
“No one who wants to do wrong should ever say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else either. Temptation comes from the lure of our own evil desires.” James 1:13-14
There is a way out.
“He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13b

Reinvent your exit.
Call on the power to resist.

THE IMPORTANCE

We are not strong.
God deserves more than sloppy seconds.
God wants to give us something more.
“This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will recieve his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.”
